Informed Consent Agreement

The following document contains all necessary information regarding psychotherapy and the psychotherapeutic process with the therapist. Please read it carefully and in case of doubt, contact the therapist for further clarifications.

  • The therapist is a counselling psychologist who completed her M.Sc. Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy in Athens, Greece. She also holds training in Movement Therapy and Internal Family systems and has experience working in educational and community-based mental health settings.

Her work is relational, depth-oriented, and integrates both verbal and body-based approaches. The therapist’s practice is trauma-informed and sensitive to individual lived experiences, identities, and contexts.

The therapist works with concerns such as:

    • Identity and sense of self

    • Boundaries and self-respect

    • Feeling stuck in familiar or repetitive patterns

    • Relationship patterns and interpersonal difficulties

    • Life transitions and difficulty with decision-making

    • Emotional awareness and expression

The therapist works with adolescents (13-18), young adults (18-25) and adults (26-35) and is comfortable with English and Hindi.

  • Therapy with the therapist is a collaborative and reflective process. The focus is on understanding patterns, emotional responses, and ways of relating to oneself and others. The therapist’s approach is warm, direct, and honest. The space allows for complex emotions, uncertainty, and contradiction, while also gently exploring patterns that may be difficult to face.

    • The process is collaborative, where both the therapist and the client actively engage.

    • The therapist does not provide quick fixes or direct advice, but supports the client in developing insight and clarity.

    • The space is non-judgemental and confidential, allowing clients to express themselves freely.

    • At times, therapy may feel uncomfortable or emotionally intense as difficult experiences and patterns are explored.

Therapy can be understood as gradually making sense of one’s experiences. It involves noticing patterns, responses, and ways of relating that may not always be immediately visible. The goal is not to direct the client toward specific decisions, but to support them in understanding themselves more clearly so they can make informed and self-aligned choices.

  • The therapist is currently practicing under supervision from experienced psychologists. Supervision involves professional guidance to support the therapeutic process. All discussions in supervision maintain strict confidentiality. The identity and identifying details of the client are not disclosed.

  • All information shared in therapy is kept confidential. However, confidentiality may be limited under the following circumstances:

    • If there is risk of harm to the client or others

    • If there is disclosure of abuse or harm involving minors or vulnerable individuals

    • If required by law

  • All the above clauses apply to clients under the age of 18.

    Additionally:

    • A parent or guardian must provide consent for therapy.

    • The therapist may share relevant updates with the guardian if required for the client’s safety and well-being.
